Six Facts Revealed in the Gospel Part 6

6.  Every sinner who trusts the Lord Jesus Christ and His atoning work on the cross has been chosen, redeemed, and called, and will forever be saved.

"So they said, 'Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household.'"  [Acts 16:31, NKJV]

[It is implied here and substantiated in other Scriptures that the household must also believe. No where in the Scriptures does it say that anyone is saved by the profession or confession of another.]

"that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved." [Romans 10:9, NKJV]

"For whoever calls on the name of the LORD shall be saved." [Romans 10:13, NKJV]

"For since, in the wisdom of God, the world through wisdom did not know God, it pleased God through the foolishness of the message preached to save those who believe." [1 Corinthians 1:21, NKJV]

These six facts cannot be denied by any logic or debate. They give great warning and great comfort. They are only embraced by those who are called by God through the irresistible ministry of His Holy Spirit.

Therefore, recognize, own, and admit that you are a sinner under the condemnation of God, not by action, but by mere conception and live birth, repent of that sin which has offended God, and plead for mercy by calling upon the Lord Jesus Christ to save you by His perfect sacrifice and the shedding of His blood, and believe that God has raised Jesus Christ from the dead, and declared Him to be the Son of God with power, and seated Him at His right hand, and the Scripture says you will be saved. There is no other name or mediator, or method in this universe that will ensure eternal salvation. Do not delay!

Hi Gregg, It's me again :-)
You said "Every sinner who trusts the Lord Jesus Christ and His atoning work on the cross has been chosen, redeemed, and called, and will be forever saved."

Aren't the elect chosen from before the foundation of the world ?
And what does happen to those who have believed and after turned away from the Lord Jesus Christ, are they forever saved ?

Oops, nearly forget, you said, "There is no other name or mediator, or method in this universe that will ensure eternal salvation. Do not delay!".

I thought that you believe that a man is saved by grace alone, apart from him doing something ?

The elect were chosen before the universe was created. Yet, God has said to all men, "Repent, Believe, etc." God in His timing through His Spirit renders the heart willing to repent and to belief by His grace. The elect will repent and belief as part of God's eternal plan.

Those who are the elect, who have repented and believed will be kept and persevere to the end of the age and will never turn away. Professors and tares will fall away due to the cares of the world and/or persecution etc.

Repentant sinners are saved by faith alone, grace alone, and Christ alone. God's plan has always been repent and believe.

Paul this is as far as I go. I have learned not to enter into "debates" with those who have no desire to learn but to teach their own form of doctrine. I hope you are a brother, but what appears to be you hyper-calvinism and if this is such a thing, and if it isn't I am going to "coin" the term, hyper-reformed theology gives me concern. If you are depending on having been elected prior to creation but have never repented or believed, I would do as the Apostle Paul told the Corinthians, "Examine yourself and see if you are in the faith." Thanks for dropping by.

Yes brother Gregg, but why then are the elect who were chosen from before the foundation of the world in Hospitals dying of the worst kind of plagues imaginable ?
Remember, Jesus has suffered on the cross for their sins.

So again, why do they suffer the consequences of the curse in their bodies if the Lord Jesus Christ has suffered for them ?

Brother Gregg, some brothers call me a Calvinist, perhaps, that is because I love and thoroughly understand the doctrine of election, but I am not a Calvinist, I am a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ and I belong to Him and believe in Him and in no other.
