Who is Your Ocean and Sun?

“The enjoyment of [God] is the only happiness with which our souls can be satisfied. To go to heaven, fully to enjoy God, is infinitely better than the most pleasant accommodations here. Fathers and mothers, husbands, wives, or children, or the company of earthly friends, are but shadows; but God is the substance. These are but scattered beams, but God is the sun. These are but streams. But God is the ocean.”

For believers, earthly life is the only "hell" we will ever know. For the unsaved, earthly life is the only "heaven" they will ever know. Jesus came to give us life more abundantly beginning at the moment of salvation, but the peace, joy and love we experience in our earthly bodies are but a foretaste of the unimaginable, perfect, complete peace, joy and love we will experience in Heaven.
Blessings to you,

Psston Jonathan was ding the best he could to describe the comparison, but there truly is no way to caompare or properly compare the finite with the infinite, the mortal with the immortal. Words alone just cannot express Lord God and the Kingdom of Heaven. Indescrible joy! The important thing is (step 1): Are we going there?
